Coach Hastings is a top-notch teacher of the greatest game on Earth. A coach myself, I've seen David's work first-hand and I have nothing but praise for a man who not only loves the game but who also loves children and wants to see them succeed. JF Wild Sr

David and I worked together at Churchill High School.
We had a super run for several years reaching the regional semi-finals or regional finals every year for 4-5 years. David was very instrumental in preparing players during workout and getting players ready for opposing teams. His workout methods were used by both varsity and JV teams.
He will be able to help your young player learn and develop the game the way it is suppose to be. He will work the fundamentals and get them ready for their next level. Do not miss the opportunity to learn from a great teacher of the game. His methods of teaching start from the basics and take to you to higher levels of baseball.
David's dedication to the teaching of the game will be evident in each lesson.

Hey Dave, Just wanted to let you know that you are doing a great job with the kids. I sat in the stands on Tuesday and really focused on the teams reactions to your directions....it was great to see how they responded, good or bad. They have a great deal of respect for you. It's a great thing. The comparison between the way you coach versus the opponent's coaches is a world of difference. I know these kids will be way ahead of their teammates, wherever they end up. I only wish Jaese could stick with your guidance/coaching in the future. .

There is only one word to describe Coach David Hastings and that would be phenomenal. His coaching style speaks for itself. Not only does Coach Hastings have passion for the game but he has the knowledge and skills needed to be an all-star and/or MVP of the game. He knows the game of baseball and it shows with how he pays attention to the minor details and basic skills needed to be an outstanding player. He is always positive, professional, and an exceptional role model. He knows the meaning of hard work and dedication and is committed to helping others. I am lucky and blessed that my son has had the opportunity to work with Coach David. He is a much better baseball player because of it.

My daughter played on Coach David’s Tee Ball team last year. It was a wonderful experience, and she learned a ton in that short period of time. Coach David stresses fundamentals over all else, which is what the young kids need. I would love it if either of my girls were able to have the opportunity to play for him again.

David, Best of luck to you in this venture. I have to say that you were the best coach Diego has ever had! Your enthusiasm and love for the game really feeds into your coaching. Diego learned not only the game, but the basic skills needed to build on to get better. The only reason Diego isn’t on your team this year is because he maxed out the age for Tee Ball. It was refreshing to have a coach who knows “how to coach” rather than “someone’s dad” who has volunteered to coach because his child is playing but has no experience. (Not knocking those dad’s, just making a comparison). He became a better player through your instruction.

David coached our 5 year old son in his first season of tee ball and we could not have asked for a better coach. He was very dedicated to the entire team and did such a great job of teaching the kids the basic fundamentals of baseball. Our son was taught the proper techniques for batting & fielding, learned some great drills for practice and most importantly was able to grasp the basic concepts of the game in such a short amount of time. David is very organized, extremely patient, and he is able to inject a lot of fun while he is passing on his vast knowledge of the game. We were very impressed with David's work and highly recommend him as a baseball instructor.

David, I wanted to personally thank you for the past two years. Having never played T-ball, I was at a loss on how to approach teaching Zachary. You provided the ground work for me to build on this summer. He really enjoyed playing this year and is looking forward to machine pitch. Jackson is even getting excited about playing. While working with you, I have even thought about coaching Jackson's eventual team because, not only did you teach Zach, but you also taught me. If it works out, I would count it a blessing for Zach to play under your tutelage. I would also count it a blessing to assist you in the future in whatever capacity you would need. You can bet that Zach, as well as Jackson!, will be practicing this summer to prepare for machine pitch. Again, much thanks.
